The bowl holds smoking material; the stem leads to the mouthpiece.

1. Inspect the pipe for damage and place a little legal smoking material in the bowl.
2. Light the bowl contents while drawing gently through the mouthpiece; use the carb hole only if fitted.
3. Let the pipe cool before emptying and cleaning.
